60 or 90 minute Sessions
Thai bodywork is a unique experience which will leave the body feeling simultaneously relaxed and rejuvenated. Over the course of a 60 or 90 minute session, the entire body will be worked on through a series of compression, point work, joint mobilization, and passive stretching. Often called assisted yoga, Thai bodywork is useful for relieving sore muscles, stimulating circulation, increasing flexibility, improved digestion and aiding in an overall sense of well being that lasts beyond the treatment session.
In Thailand the herbal compress is called luk pra kob. The steamed bundle of herbs is pressed, rolled, pounded or allowed to rest directly onto the skin. The compress provides aromatherapy, thermal therapy and herbal therapy all in one. The Thai herbal compress technique offers several potential health benefits: inducing deep relaxation, relieving stress and fatigue, boosting both emotional and physical well-being, improving circulation of blood and lymph and stimulating the internal organs.
Chi Nei Tsang
The abdominal work practice Chi Nei Tsang literally means "working the energy of the internal organs". It is a holistic approach that addresses the very origin of many health issues including physical and emotional responses. Chi Nei Tsang gently and safely helps release old hidden accumulated emotions and tensions so that you can fully heal. The treatment begins with soft and precise abdominal touch and may include deeper work as appropriate. There are a number of issues held in the abdomen and Chi Nei Tsang promotes the healing of many conditions, including digestive problems, fatigue, depression, anxiety, menstrual problems, infertility, abdominal pain, abdominal adhesions, headaches and insomnia.
